One Click Calling

One Click Calling

People can call you (and vice versa) with a mouse click, on regular phones. The first time you do it you need to enter your phone number, but after that you can just click on web or email links to make a call.

When you click, two phones ring—first yours, then the phone of the person you're calling.

Toll free - If the call is toll-free (the party you are calling pays), you just enter your phone number so we can make the first call to you. We remember your number so the next time you click we don't need to ask again.

What actually happens? A few seconds after you click on a PlezeCall link, your phone will ring. When you pick it up, you will hear "press 1 to complete your PlezeCall." When you do so, the other party is dialed.

From then on, the call is exactly like any other you'd make with a regular phone.

Toll Calls - To make a toll call, you need to set up an account with Civicom for billing purposes. Most of our customers use credit cards so they never have to think about it again. (Don't worry; if you never use it you will never be charged. And there is no monthly fee"only a $0.39 billing fee for a given month in which you do use the service.) Click here to get a free account.

  • One Click Conference calling - The most convenient way to start a conference.

You need no special equipment or connections—just a direct phone line. (If calls to you must go through an operator/switchboard, convenience is diminished.) Just sign in and click on "Download Outlook Speed Dialer."

Frequently asked questions:

How is PlezeCall different from the "PC to Phone" services I've heard about lately? - "PC to phone" services require special equipment attached to your computer. PlezeCall uses your regular phone, so no special equipment is needed, and quality and security are like a regular phone call.

What's so good about it? Remember rotary dialing? Remember TV before the remote control? PlezeCall is the next step in the evolution of voice communication—connecting you more efficiently—with a click.

Like the dial tone and the TV remote, it's just a matter of time until PlezeCalling becomes the way of life for combining email and voice communication.

How long will the sign-up take? About 3-5 minutes, unless you get sidetracked.

What if my modem is using the phone line? If you use the same line for phone and computer, you must sign off after you click the link. PlezeCall will try to connect 3 times at 30 second intervals, and if unsuccessful, will stop trying.

Fees? - The account and emails are free. When you click to call someone, the standard fees shown below replace all other per minute fees (within the U.S. and Canada):

  • One-to-one - 5.5¢ per minute.
  • Toll free - 12.9¢ per minute is charged to the person accepting the toll free call.

You can pay by credit card or invoice. Calls are charged or billed at the end of each month. There is no fee if no calls are made. There is a billing fee of $0.39 for credit card payment or $3.50 per paper invoice mailed. Any taxes that apply will also be added.

International calling: We offer competitive rates for international calling using PlezeCall. We will tell you the per-minute cost whenever you are about to initiate an international call. Calls initiated outside the U.S. require credit card payment. Click here to learn about our international rates.

Local calls : All calls are billed at the same rate, whether they are local, long distance, in-state or out.

Do I get charged if the other party is busy or does not answer? No. If PlezeCall connects with you, and the called party is busy or doesn't answer, there is no charge.

What about voice mail? If the first call—to you—reaches a voice mail system, the call will not proceed and you will not be charged. This is because the system will ask you to press "1" to complete the call, and nothing will happen if you do not do so.

Once you have initiated the call by pressing "1," you will be billed if the call reaches voice mail, as with any long distance call.

Will PlezeCall change my phone company? No. PlezeCall gives you great rates without changing or involving your provider in any way.

Can I change my phone number? Yes, when you click to call, you will be given a chance to change your number.
